I ,for one, am a fan of random texts...for example: "Make good choices", "You are the person who can make a difference", and "Smile and say hello to someone you do not know"...and to the freshman in the text, I add " Say hello to TEN people you do not know today"....

Gentle reminders from home.

And yes, another broken toe from shuffling things in the garage...my own fault. Just like the last time I broke my toe....just being clumsy..but OUCH.....

Does everyone call their little toe a baby toe or is that just me??? My baby toes are actually turned more to the side...and are just darn ugly. Even more ugly now since that's the one I broke. The baby!!! I am envious of those foot models. I mean, COME ON!!!...they look good in any summer sandal....

Are you ready for back to school?

The amount of time, energy, tears, smiles and money that is absorbed during back to school preparation is EXHAUSTING....I'm talking about preschool, kindergarten, elementary, middle school, high school and college!! WOW.....
Lunches packed, papers signed, clothes ready, shoes that fit, backpacks, pencils, paper, folders and snacks.
And then, if your kids play a sport, are in the band, or involved in any extra curricular activity~ even more time demands are made.
Were we crazy thinking we wanted school to start again?
Go forth, students, and make good choices. Have the time of your life. You only pass this way once.

Blogging ~ do I jump or pass the rope?

So!
With me at the crossroads of an educational decision~ do I go onto a Master's Degree or should I be content with stopping at my undergrad and switch gears to things I REALLY want to do~ such as stringing words, ideas and thoughts together??? More importantly, do I have the patience to wait and see if anyone else wants to read them, and more importantly, comment on my journey???
If you are at the rivers edge and there is a magnificent rope swing crying out for you....do you take it or catch the rope and pass it to the next person in line?

Shipping Containers + Small Living and Where do you put all your stuff???

The mind that dwells in me is often a winding road~ and today that road led me to container homes. In my perfect dream world, I am happy downsizing and living without clutter in a 200 square foot home with three shirts, two pair of pants and one pair of shoes. Even though I don't cook, I still don't see how I could eliminate enough pots and pans to fit into a tiny kitchen. Nonetheless, thinking about small living is a fun way to pass the time.
So, I think I need a compound of containers to live comfortably. A kitchen container, a bathroom container, bedroom container, living room container and finally a container closet.
Who wants to help me design this idea???
